'On Europe's doorstep'

Gen Carter said Russia was building an increasingly aggressive expeditionary force
and the potential military threats to the UK "are now on Europe's doorstep".
He said the Kremlin already boasted an "eye-watering quantity of capability"
 - a level the UK would struggle to match.
Gen Carter stressed that Britain "must take notice of what is going on around us"
or that the ability by the UK to take action will be "massively constrained".
"Rather like a chronic contagious disease, it will creep up on us,
and our ability to act will be markedly constrained - and we'll be the losers of this competition," he said.
He said he did "not in any way" want to suggest that Russia would go to war in the traditional sense,
but that Moscow "could initiate hostilities sooner than we expect".
"I don't think it will start with little green men, it will start with something we don't expect.
We should not take what we have seen so far as a template for the future.".

Hi Malcolm,

Could you please forward the message below to Nick?
If he manages to allocate some time to learn about the subject by listening to a short explanation incl MOD, DSTL & GCHQ/NCSC
self-evident examples, then the current CGHQ chief may also like to join the conversation at some later point.

This is not a business proposal.
Its about sharing research findings which show ~why~ the UK is a self inflicted easy target for cyber espionage/sabotage/warfare,
but also how that fundamental issue can be solved within about 1 year by simply removing one root cause.

Kind regards,
*George

Dear Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter,

If you have the possibility to allocate at least 2 hours of your time, to have an informative chat about
a major blind spot/(Catch-22) in the current modern UK defence tactics? It would be rather useful, for all of us.....
A blind spot which is currently being exploited on a large scale by hostile forces, without the UK intelligence community
being able to notice/prevent it, it clearly seems.

Kind regards,
*George.
